If you happen to run across some code displayed beneath the post title on your blog list page or a search page, the issue is most likely the post excerpt option which was left blank.
You can set up the post excerpt in single post options. In the event you cannot see the excerpt option in single post options, you probably need to activate the Screen Options which are located in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. The excerpt option is turned off by default.
First you should locate and open the post in question so you can edit it.
Next click on the Screen Options located in the upper right corner of the screen so you can enable the excerpt.
Now you should be able to see the excerpt field in the post options.
Next you should input a short text which will represent a description of your post into the excerpt field.
This text will be displayed on the blog list pages and on the search page when the post is displayed there.
Once you save the options and refresh the blog or search page, you’ll see the excerpt displayed instead of the code which was shown earlier.
